Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis will not make his eighth appearance in a Brondby shirt when they take on Sønderjyske Fodbold in a Danish Superliga encounter at Brondby Stadium on Friday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports. 

Brondby boss Steve Cooper has announced  his squad for the visit of Sønderjyske, with Dennis omitted from the selection.

The 11-time Danish champions confirmed that the Nigerian was not selected due to injury. 

In addition to Dennis, Frederik Alves, Rasmus Lauritsen and Filip Bundgaard are on the injury list and are unavailable for selection.

Last month, Dennis was not named in the squad for the trip to Aarhus GF due to an unspecified injury.

The 28-year-old has yet to open his account for Brondby, firing blanks in his first seven games for the club following his signing on a free transfer in the January transfer window.

He has managed four starts from a possible eight in the Superliga, logging 373 minutes across those games. 

Dennis lists Zorya Luhansk, Club Brugge, FC Cologne, Istanbul Basaksehir and Watford as his previous clubs.

Since his cameo against Portugal in an international friendly in November 2022, he has been inactive for the Super Eagles.
