John Ibeh Departs Broke Aris, Udoji Continues Negotiations
According to leaks gathered by<b> allnigeriasoccer.com</b>’s editorial staff, John Ibeh has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Greek club Aris Thessaloniki over unpaid wages.<br /><br />Over the summer, the 27 - year - old put pen to paper on a two - year deal with Aris, which would have kept him with the Yellow Blacks until June 2015. <br /><br />Since the contract was formalized, Aris have refused to remit a single euro to his bank account, wages totaling around 28,000 euros.<br /><br />Per Fifa rules and regulations, John Ibeh had the right to terminate his contract with his employer.<br /><br />Last week, he informed the Greek authorities of his intention to severe ties with Aris and today, Monday, the leadership of the club sanctioned his departure.<br /><br />Furthermore, John Ibeh plans to report Aris to Fifa, his only chance of getting his unpaid benefits.<br /><br />He is not the only Nigerian being owed wages though his case is less complex than that of Chigozie Udoiji, top scorer for Aris in the Super League with 5 goals in 13 appearances.<br /><br />Aris are trying everything possible to convince Udoji to rescind his decision to quit. <br /> <br />Unconfirmed reports suggest the Thessaloniki based outfit , whose balance sheet is mismatched, owe past and present players approximately 7 million euros in accrued wages.<br /><br />Photo Credit: worldfootball.net
