Man City Playing Hardball Over Sale Of Iheanacho To West Ham, Deal Not Imminent
Manchester City are playing hardball over the sale of Kelechi Iheanacho to interested suitors, West Ham in particular.
The Hammers are one of the Premier League clubs hoping to sign the Nigeria international in the summer transfer window, but City are yet to name their asking price, amid speculations in the media that a £24 million fee was agreed by both clubs.
''No deal has been done. It’s not true but we do like the player and we are trying to buy him but we can’t even get a price,'' a West Ham source told West Ham expert claretandhugh.info.
Iheanacho found his first team opportunities limited at the Etihad Stadium outfit, especially in the second half of the season, after the arrival of Brazil talent Gabriel Jesus.
The 20-year-old is now contracted to Man City for four more seasons after penning a new deal last August.
