Union Saint-Gilloise head coach David Hubert has expressed caution over the threat posed by Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman ahead of his side’s UEFA Champions League clash.
Lookman, who endured a difficult start to the season, has rediscovered his best form at Atalanta under Raffaele Palladino.
The 28-year-old has scored once and registered two assists in his last three UEFA Champions League appearances.
Speaking at the press conference, Hubert cautioned against Lookman’s intelligence and clever movement, identifying him as a key danger for his side.
"Lookman moves between the lines, De Ketelaere creates play, provides depth, and is intelligent. But we don't play only against them," Hubert was quoted as saying by Tutto Atalanta.
The Union Saint-Gilloise manager urged his players to take advantage of any weaknesses as they chase a crucial result.
"For us, winning is our last chance, and against Atalanta, who have some weaknesses to exploit, we want to do so," he added.
Hubert also stressed the importance of discipline and tactical awareness, warning his team against Atalanta’s attacking threat, particularly down the flanks.
"We need to not rush and stick to our game plan, adapting to an opponent who plays a lot down the wings and is very attacking," he concluded.
With a victory required to seal qualification for the knockout stage, Hubert will be eager for his side to contain Lookman and secure a positive result against Atalanta.
