Promising Arsenal striker Marley Frohock has spoken about his international eligibility, confirming that he qualifies to represent the Super Eagles through his Nigerian mother.
Born in Basildon, United Kingdom, the versatile forward, who is comfortable operating across the front line, is also eligible for England through his father.
Despite being eligible for both Nigeria and England, he has yet to be capped at youth or senior level by either nation.
Frohock signed a scholarship with Arsenal in the summer of 2025 and made his competitive debut for the U18s while still a schoolboy, starting in a 3-2 defeat to Norwich City in October 2024.
Following spells at Little Kickers and Billericay Town, the 17-year-old joined Arsenal’s Hale End Academy in May 2022 after a successful trial, under the watchful eyes of former first-team stars Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny, who were completing their coaching badges at the time.
His invitation to trial came after he impressed in the Essex Cup Final, where his team emerged victorious.
"In terms of my family background, my mum is Nigerian and my Dad is English, with a bit of Dutch heritage too," Frohock told Arsenal's Young Gun series.
"I got into football through my dad. He encouraged me to start kicking a ball, and he'd played semi-professional level himself."
Frohock trained with Arsenal's first team before their Premier League games against Manchester City and Sunderland.
He is not the only Arsenal youth team player eligible to represent Nigeria through his mother as Josh Nichols and Andre Harriman-Annous also have Nigerian mothers.
