Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen continued his impressive form for Galatasaray on Sunday as the club secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Kayserispor.

The Nigerian striker scored a penalty and provided an assist during the match, contributing significantly to the team’s overall performance.

The scoring opened in the 7th minute when Kayserispor’s Aaron Opoku inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, giving Galatasaray an early lead and setting the tone for the rest of the game. 

Galatasaray doubled their advantage in the 26th minute when Victor Osimhen converted a penalty, marking his seventh successful spot-kick in the Turkish Super Lig and bringing his season tally to eight goals.

In his maiden Süper Lig season, the former African Footballer of the Year converted penalties against goalkeepers Djordje Nikolić, Onurcan Piri, Mateusz Lis, Visar Bekaj, Jakub Słowik and Andreas Gianniotis.

Gabriel Sara extended the lead to 3-0 in the 61st minute, finishing off a precise pass from Osimhen with a powerful strike into the bottom left corner.

The scoring was completed in stoppage time as Mauro Icardi converted a late penalty, sealing the 4-0 win for the home side.

The 4-0 result strengthens Galatasaray’s position in the Turkish Super Lig, with Osimhen playing a central role in the team’s attacking output this season.

His goal, assist, and continued perfect penalty record underline his importance to the club as they continue their campaign in the league.
