Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has handed call-ups to Muhammed Usman, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, and Tochukwu Nnadi in his final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Akinsanmiro has been one of the standout performers in Serie A this season following his loan move from Inter Milan to Pisa.
The young midfielder has impressed with his strength, composure, and calm presence in midfield as Pisa fight to secure their top-flight status.
Nnadi, who previously featured for the Flying Eagles, has also been a consistent performer for Zulte Waregem in the Belgian second division.
The 22-year-old has caught the eye of the Malian tactician with his off-the-ball work rate and composure in possession. While primarily a defensive midfielder, Nnadi has contributed one assist in fifteen league appearances.
The eight-man midfield also features established names such as Wilfred Ndidi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Raphael Onyedika, Alex Iwobi, and Frank Onyeka, while Alhassan Yusuf misses out.
Nigeria is drawn in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania as the Super Eagles aim to claim a fourth AFCON title when the tournament kicks off on December 19.
The Super Eagles open their AFCON campaign against Tanzania on December 23, before facing Tunisia on December 27 and wrapping up the group stage against Uganda on December 30.
Eric Chelle will be looking to guide Nigeria to their fourth AFCON title in Morocco, seeking redemption after the nation’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
