Obaje Beats Haruna To The Best First Division Player In Malta

Senglea Athletic FC striker Augustine James Obaje has picked up another individual accolade in Malta.<br /><br />On Friday, the Nigerian was voted the BOV First Division Best Player at the 2016 Malta Football Association Awards staged at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta. <br /><br />To win the accolade, Obaje saw off competition from compatriot Garba Haruna (Hamrun Spartans) and Kooh Sohna Raphael Alain ( Gzira United).<br /><br />Malta international Alfred Effiong had been in the running for the prestigious MFA Footballer of the Year award but lost out to Valletta star Briffa Roderick when the winner was announced. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br />
