Atlas Lions coach Walid Regragui has admitted that Morocco's semifinal clash with Nigeria on Wednesday night will be very difficult.
The North African giants will face a Super Eagles side brimming with confidence, having recorded five consecutive wins at the ongoing tournament in Morocco, the only team to achieve such a feat.
Morocco are still chasing their first Africa Cup of Nations title since 1976, determined to end a 50-year wait for continental glory.
With Nigeria boasting a lineup full of high-level players like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi, Regragui knows his side will need to be at their very best to secure a place in the 2025 Afcon final.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Regragui said: "We have a tough match ahead of us against Nigeria. We know the responsibility is great. We will face a great opponent with outstanding players, and we will try to give our best performance against them."
The Moroccan tactician added that results, rather than statistics, are what matter most at this stage.
"I'm not concerned with any statistics we achieve; we must win to be in the final."
Nigeria defeated Algeria 2-0 to advance to the semifinals while the Atlas Lions recorded an identical victory over Cameroon's Indomitable Lions.
