The Anglo-Nigerian was playing for JNS Football U10 side when he was spotted by the Red Devils.
The transfer of Akinsanya to the Premier League giants would have taken place before this month but it was delayed due to the global pandemic.
JNS Football have expressed their pride at Akinsanya's transfer to Manchester United, labeling the 20-time English champions 'the biggest club in the world'.
"Huge congratulations to JNS U10 baller Joseph Akinsanya who finally! (Due to covid) officially signed for the biggest club in the world #ManchesterUnited #MUFC," JNS Football wrote on Instagram.
"What a great future he has in front of him, he's been dedicated over the past 3 years in improving his all round game, he still attends our sessions every week refining his skills and working on his development areas.
"He's a great kid and all of us at JNS are so proud of his journey to date."
Akinsanya links up with nine-year-old attacker of Nigerian descent Cole Marsden- Umebuani in the Manchester United academy.
