Portland Timbers Get Injury Boost As Fanendo Adi Injury Is Not Severe

It had been feared that Portland Timbers Designated Player Fanendo Adi was set for a spell on the sidelines but the Oregon outfit have been handed a boost with news that his injury is not severe. <br /><br />Last weekend, the Super Eagles hopeful had to be substituted few minutes after scoring against New York City and initial reports had suggested that he picked up a hamstring injury.<br /><br />If Fanendo Adi passes a fitness test, he could be in action on Sunday against Vancouver Whitecaps, though Portland Timbers have refused to comment on his availability for the fixture at Providence Park.<br /><br />The 25-year-old striker has scored eight goals this season and was named Player of the Month in the American topflight for April 2016.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br />
