According to reporting by blick.ch, FC Basel have set the wheels in motion to capture the signature of Innocent Emeghara from Siena.

Following to sale of Bobadilla to Augsburg, Basel are desperately in search of his replacement and have beamed their searchlight on Emeghara.

But the 16 - time champions of Switzerland face competition from teams in the Serie A led by Torino.

Emeghara's 7 goals in 17 matches could not prevent Siena from relegation at the end of last season.
