Problem Facing 3SC Is Multi - Facet - Jubril, Counsel To Yekini
People have beginning to bear their minds in the lingering problems rocking the traditional clubside, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).

A strong backer of the club who doubled as legal counsel to the late Super Eagles Striker Rasheed Yekini, Bar. Jubril Olanrewaju Mohammed in this interview with allnigeriasoccer.com  traced their problems to indiscipline of the players and bad managerial defect that he thinks is responsible for where they are now.

As a strong fan of Shooting Stars, what can you identify as problems retarding the progress of the club?

''The problem facing Shooting Star is multi-facet in the sense that we can not pin it down to a particular person, there are several problems, one of them is indiscipline on the part of players.

''I realized that the players are not disciplined, I can’t single out any one out of them and that can be attributed to the second factor which has to do with managerial defect of the technical crew,.

''I’m not talking on the technical input into the team, but the managerial aspect of the technical department of 3SC. There are clear indications that there is nobody to instill discipline into those players, a place where players do whatever they like cannot produce good results, atmosphere in 3SC enable their players to exhibit a carefree attitude to the extent that most of them choose matches to play at both home and away.

''They choose juicy matches while some would refuse to come to training and next day you see them making the starting lineup, so if you don’t have that control measure from the head of the technical crew, there is going to be a continued disrespectof the players and that will has great adverse effect on the team as whole.''

What are the other problems you noticed?

''The third aspect I noticed is the board. I have been watching them from afar now and realized that it seems they don’t have that firm
control over major issues of the club, there are indications that the board Chairman that just resigned his appointment was not really, really in-charge of situations ever before he threw in the towel.

''Honestly, all these put together will always affect the team negatively. I also learnt that in most of their away matches, 22 officials including board members used to follow 18 players to away games, you can imagine the bad impact that might have on the players.

'' I think this is acute waste of fund, if such funds can be spread as more incentives to the players, it will motivate them to perform well.

''So all in all, the technical crew, players and management board are all have hands in this present predicament of 3SC.''

What lessons do think the club can lean from NFF’s O&D punishments?

'Sometimes you wonder that is supporters really helping the team? They seemed to play more better behind closed door because the players played more on a tension free atmosphere, most times instead of the supporters to lift their spirits, what they do was to shout them down and rained curses on the players by abusing them which often affected the output of players.

''I can say the punishments are to some extent a positive omen for the team.''

What advice you now have for the management of the team considering where the team found itself now?

''My advice for the management is to try and motivate the players more because all hope is not yet lost and on our path we won’t stop our support, even I personally want like to talk to the players against their next match and promise them good incentives particularly for man of the match and scorer.

''I believe those are the only way to encourage players and not by cursing them or shouting them down and I know that these scheme would give us what we wanted from them and that is to take the team out of the relegation’s pit its found itself.''

You said you motivate professionals to supports the team. Can you give insight into this?

''Apart from the facts that I do sponsor people to watch 3SC, I also encourage some of my friends who are mostly lawyers, doctors, bankers to come and watch 3SC live and look at anyway they can assist the team because I know they all love the club but if they watch it weeks-in, weeks-out, they would know what they can contribute to help the traditional club.

''Apart from that, in the beginning of this season I recalled I donated a generating set to man of the match, which Gbolahan Salami won on their first home game of season.

''I want to continue in that line by motivating them because if I can’t watch them at away match, I should still use the money to motivate them at home, but we often felt disappointed with what we are seeing in the team.

''Nevertheless I will still want to talk personally with the boys and promise them on behalf of my friends, good incentives for the remaining of their home matches, so that the team can escape the relegation scar that is stirring it in the face and land safely. ''
