Brazil Legend Ronaldo Tips Nigeria To Shine At 2014 World Cup
Published: November 16, 2013Brazil legend Ronaldo has commented on the chances of the Super Eagles at the 2014 World Cup, billed to be staged in his homeland next summer.
The African champions booked their plane tickets to Brazil on Saturday evening, thanks to their 4 - 1 aggregate win over Ethiopia.
“I think there are big teams in Africa. Nigeria, I saw them play at the Confederations Cup, exhibited very interesting football.
“I also want the best players to be in the World Cup. Because we not only want to organize the best World Cup of all time.
“I want to see a great football from all countries, to make it a memorable World Cup,”says Ronaldo to the online edition of Radio France International.
Ronaldo, Ballon d'Or winner in 1997 and 2002, is a member of the World Cup organizing committee.
He is the top scorer in the history of the mundial with 15 goals.
