Vincent Enyeama Wins October Player Of The Month Award
Nigeria international Vincent Enyeama has been named the best player in Ligue 1 for the month of October.

The 31 - year - old Lille numero uno , who is having an outstanding season, did not concede a single goal last month in matches against AC Ajaccio, Montpellier and Nantes.

To clinch the award, Vince beat Sweden superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic (19%) and his PSG teammate Edinson Cavani (10%).

“I do not forget Jean-Pierre Mottet, Steeve Elana, Barel Mouko and the young Jean Butez alongside me work very hard.

“And of course, all my teammates and the entire staff, whether technical or medical, that helped me to achieve that great performance with LOSC,”says Enyeama to the official website of Lille, losc.fr.

Adding to his previous statement, the Super Eagles stand - in skipper said :

“I sincerely want to thank them for choosing me as the expense of great players. All supporters who encourage me are important to me.

“I also thank journalists.  I am particularly proud to belong to this great football family.”
 
In case you were not aware, another Super Eagles player John Utaka won the prestigious award in February 2006.

A trophy will be awarded to Vincent Enyeama on Sunday, November 24 before the game between Lille and Toulouse.
