Kenneth Otigba Wants To Be Like Jaap Stam
Published: November 25, 2013Kenneth Otigba is not pleased with the number of goals conceded by SC Heerenveen in the Dutch championship.
Born in Kaduna 21 years ago, the central defender has established himself as a first - team regular at Heerenveen in the current campaign.
“We allow too many goals against us, that does not feel good and is also the theme for me. I have to get used to my position and I want to grow.
“I would like the number one defender in Heerenveen to be like Jaap Stam. I want to give attackers the feeling that today nothing to be gained.
“I leave everything to my life motto...: if you work hard, your dreams come true. But you have to wait and see,”the Hungary youth teamer told Leeuwarden Courant.
Kenny Otigba has netted three times this season, in games against RKC Waalwijk, Vitesse and Groningen.
Heerenveen, ninth on the table, have the sixth worst attack in the Eredivisie, with 26 goals conceded after 13 games played.
