Omofoyewa, IFA League Top Scorer Seeks CHAN Action

notching up 25 goals in 36 appearances to beat other point-men to the coveted prizes has begged for call-up to home based Eagles preparing under Coach Stephen Keshi ahead of the Orange African Nations Championship ‘(CHAN) 2014’ slated for South Africa early next year.
This was contained in a release issued and made available to newsmen in Ibadan by the head of public relations and strategies for IFA, Folorunsho Oyelakin highlighted the activities of the body where outstanding recognitions were given to outstanding players in the concluded season.
Omofoyewa, Frenage FC. Striker who led the pack of most outstanding players of the season according to the release also won the most beautiful goal of the season prize with a goal he scored in a week 16 match against Marvelous FC.
The gangling striker who has been on radar of top Nigerian Premier League clubs in his reaction dedicated the award to his teammates and coaches while giving all glory to Almighty God for his protection over him.
He however, expressed his desire to try his luck among other players shortlisted for CHAN, saying “I’m sure of making
the CHAN team if given the opportunity”.
