Paul Obiefule Explains Why He Quit Assyriska
Published: December 09, 2013Nigeria international Paul Obiefule has explained the rationale behind his decision to terminate his contract with Swedish club Assyriska last week.
The midfielder, who had signed a three - year contract with Assyriska back in March, says he wants to be closer to his wife and kids who reside in Denmark.
“I want to be closer to my family. I hope to get a new team in Denmark when the market opens in January.
“My family stays in Viborg and my wife is studying at the University of Aarhus at the moment, so there was no way she could join me in Sweden.
“My kids school here in Denmark and I have moved them so much. Now I do not want to move them again, ” says Paul Obiefule to allnigeriasoccer.com.
27 - year - old Paul Obiefule is now training on his own ahead of the proposed switch in the winter transfer market.
