Gabby Agbonlahor Relishes Match Winning Goal Against Sunderland
Published: January 03, 2014Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has expressed his delight after scoring the match winning goal against neighbors Sunderland on New Year’ Day.
The 1 - 0 away victory was Villa’s first in the Premier League since the 3 - 2 away win over Southampton on December 4.
Speaking to the official website, avfc.co.uk, Agbonlahor said : “It was a gift really to get a chance like that.
“I was lucky enough to get the chance and then put it in.
“They were playing a bit of risky football at the back and to get the chance, I was buzzing with it.
“I had another chance on my left foot and we had quite a few as a team but we'll take that result.”
After 20 rounds of matches in the English Premier League, Aston Villa occupy the 11th position with 23 points in the kitty.
