Exclusive : Marco Tagbajumi Wanted By Astra Giurgiu, Belgian And Israeli Teams
Published: January 29, 2014Hot commodity Marco Tagbajumi might remain at Ermis at least until the end of this season after the Cypriot First Division club rejected the overtures of teams in Belgium, Israel and Romania that came knocking for his signature.
Come to think of it, Ermis signed him as a free agent this past summer for nothing but the Italian - Nigerian forward has seen his stock rise following a string of fine displays.
Ben Itorho, Atta Aneke’s right hand man in Italy, has commented further on the situation of Marco Tagbajum, whom he advices.
“Astra Giurgiu in Romania and two other clubs in Belgium and Israel were interested in his signature in the ongoing winter transfer market.
“But we will not be able to finish this transfer now because Ermis are asking for too much money.
“We hope to keep talking to interested suitors with view of completing the switch in the summer.
“They want to hold on to Marco in their bid to qualify for Europe at the end of this season,” says Ben Itorho to allnigeriasoccer.com.
25 - year - old Marco Tagbajumi is under contract with Ermis until June 30, 2014 but the club have the option for a further year.
He has recorded 7 goals in his last 8 matches in the Cypriot top flight.
