Manager of the Black and Blues, Walter Mazzarri has specially requested that the club sign a defensive midfielder in the summer transfer market.
And the top candidate being targeted is Nigeria international Obi Mikel, whose contract at Chelsea expires in the summer of 2017.
In the past, the former Lyn Oslo ace had been linked with Italian champions Juventus plus Napoli but the transfer failed to materialize.
