Revealed: Golden Eaglets Star, Chigozie Obasi Chose Deportivo de La Coruna Ahead Of Recreativo Huelva And Real Aviles
Published: May 15, 2014Chigozie Obasi, who defended the colours of the Golden Eaglets at the last Fifa Under 17s, has received good news from the Spanish embassy regarding his visa application, writes the Nigerian edition of Soccer Laduma, SL10.ng.
The 15 - year - old has an appointment with the Spanish Embassy located at Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island on Friday.
After weeks of tense waiting game, the midfielder has been told his visa application was successful.
“I will pick up my visa to Spain this Friday. I decided to accept the proposal from Deportivo de La Coruña because they have a good programme for young players and they are hoping to be promoted to La Liga.
“ I’ll like to thank my agent Olivier Noah and his partner Dominic Egbukwu. Through them, I got the opportunity to play in Europe,” says Chigozie Obasi to SL10.ng.
Obasi also caught the attention of Recreativo de Huelva and Real Avilés but his advisers cherry-picked La Coruna as he has a better chance of developing there.
