American Referee, Mark Geiger To Officiate France - Nigeria
Published: June 28, 2014The United States of America referee, Mark Geiger, has been appointed by Fifa to officiate the second round World Cup fixture between Nigeria and France on Monday in Brasilia.
The 39 - year - old was a high school Mathematics teacher at Lacey Township High School in Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey before he retired to start full - time professional refereeing.
Mark Geiger has already officiated two group matches at the ongoing World Cup, Greece - Colombia and Chile - Spain, handing out 3 yellow cards in each of the games.
Geiger, who obtained his National Referee badge in 2003 , was named the best referee in the MLS back in 2011
