Exclusive: Stoke City Do NOT Intend To Sign Michael Babatunde
Published: July 15, 2014Reports linking Michael Babatunde to English Premier League side Stoke City are fictitious, a top source close to the club has informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 21 - year - old is back in his homeland recuperating from the unfortunate wrist injury he picked up when the Super Eagles confronted Argentina at the World Cup.
“I have contacted our scouting network. Michael Babatunde is not one of the players Stoke City intend to sign in this window,” a club insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
And to buttress that claim, the Volyn Lutsk winger is ineligible to be granted a work permit by the Home Office, which the Potters are aware of.
Previously, Michael Babatunde had been erroneously linked with moves to Barcelona, Galatasaray and Schalke 04, which his minders did to ignite artificial interest in the player.
