Exclusive : Terry Akpua Seals Move To Portuguese Second - Tier Side CD Mafra
Published: July 30, 2014Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigerian-American and former University of Pittsburgh striker Terry Akpua has agreed terms with Portuguese second division side CD Mafra.
The 23 year old striker was previously on a football scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh and a vital member of the team.
Upon graduation from the university he decided to further his football career in Europe.
He had offers from clubs in Belgium, Egypt, Ireland, and Portugal, but after weighing all offers with his agent, he signed with CD Mafra.
The striker who has often been to compared to strikers like Emmanuel Emenike, Jackson Martinez, Wilfred Bony due to his size, strength, speed, technical skills and knowledge of the game looks forward to having a good debut season with his new club.
The finacial terms plus duration of the contract were not disclosed by the team nor his agent.
