Exclusive: Agent Confirms Hibernians Super Teen Joseph Mbong Will Train With Bolton Wanderers Senior Team And Under 21s
Published: September 05, 2014Malta youth - teamer Joseph Mbong will practice with Bolton Wanderers in the coming days ahead of a contract offer, the agent of the striker, George Alawode-Williams, has informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 17 - year - old progressed through the ranks at Hibernians before making his Premier League debut against Sliema Wanderers on August 27.
“I have arranged for Joseph to have a week’s trial with Bolton Wanderers from Monday with a view to signing a deal.
“He will train with the Under 21 and senior side. I would say he plays like Jay Jay Okocha.
“He is not a striker, he is a winger or a number 10. His secondary position is striker, ” George Alawode-Williams, Director of New Breed Sports Management, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
It is believed that Joseph Mbong put himself in the shop window at the Euro 17s staged in the Island Nation a couple of months ago.
And on the back of that performance, the MFA Young Player of the Year (Under 17) has been promoted to the Under 19 squad.
