Official : Joseph Okonkwo Pens Short Term Contract With Italian Side Argentina Arma
Published: September 13, 2014Nigerian striker Joseph Okonkwo will be playing for Argentina Arma after agreeing a three - and - a - half month deal with the Italian Serie D club this week.
Inserted into the contract the 27 - year - old signed is an option to extend the deal when it expires at the end of December, provided he does well during the probationary period.
“I started training with Argentina Arma already. I have lived in Italy for the past nine years, so I do not need a work permit to play here as I have Italian residency.
“I have played in Malta for too long. I think I decided to return to Italy. Italy is like my second home. I have my family and friends here, I grew up here.
“I had option of joining teams in Malta and Sweden, but I chose Argentina Arma, ”says Joseph Okonkwo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Valletta, Floriana and Plateau United man has been handed the number 30 jersey by the club.
