Official : Seattle Sounders Announce Hiring Of Onyekachi Apam
Published: September 19, 2014With a note on the official website, MLS side Seattle Sounders have announced the hiring of out - of - favour Nigeria international Onyekachi Apam, subject to the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Clearance.
Per MLS and club policy, the financial terms plus duration of contract were not disclosed by the capital outfit.
Speaking on the signing of the ex Rennes defender, Sounders FC Sporting Director Chris Henderson said : “Onyekachi brings vast experience from French Lique 1 and the Nigerian National Team.
“He is a versatile defender who can play central or wide and has the ability to start our attack from the back as well.”
In the last couple of months, the former Enugu Rangers ace has been keeping fit by training with an unnamed French club.
The 27 - year - old joins fellow Nigeria international Obafemi Martins and American - Nigerian forward Sean Okoli at Seattle Sounders.
