Exclusive : Shola Shodiya Signs Three - Year Deal With Birkirkara
Published: October 11, 2014Free agent Shola Shodiya has made a sensational return to Birkirkara, five months after refusing to extend his contract with the Maltese Premier League vice - champions.
Heavily courted by Boavista in the close season, the 23 - year - old has signed a deal which will expire in the summer of 2017, according to his agent Edward Afolabi.
“Shola Shodiya signed for Birkirkara on Friday, he has signed a three - year contract. They met his demand, he is happy and everybody is happy.
“There is an agreement that he can leave the club if he receives a better offer,” said Edward Afolabi, who is licensed by the English FA, to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Enyimba striker has clocked up 94 appearances for Birkirkara and has scored 33 times.
