Done Deal : Leixoes Snap Up Rasheed Alabi Till End Of The Season
Published: October 31, 2014Portuguese side Leixões have completed the signing of free agent and former Nigeria Under 20 international Rasheed Alabi, according to the player.
The central defender had been searching for a new club after he mutually terminated his contract with AC Omonia in the close season.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com after the deal was completed, the 28 - year - old said : “Yes, I have signed for Leixões, just a seven - month deal. I will resume training with my new team on Monday and I will be given a jersey number this weekend. ”
“I broke my contract with AC Omonia since the end of last season. It is personal.”
A product of Gateway, Abeokuta, his contract with the Greens would have expired in June 2015 if he honoured it.
