Konyaspor Go For Free Agent Joseph Yobo
Published: November 13, 2014According to reporting by Fanatik, Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor are ready to make a move for former Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo.
The central defender has been searching for a new employer since September after he mutually terminated his contract with Fenerbahce because he was not assured a first team spot due to the strict foreign quota rule in Turkey.
Konyaspor have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Joseph Yobo due to the fact that he still has ties to Turkey.
His wife remained in the country to complete her tertiary education when he tore up his agreement with the Yellow Canaries.
Ex Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman , who now handles Konyaspor, has recommended that the club begin transfer talks with the experienced center back.
To that end, the Super Eagles record cap holder will travel to the city in the coming days to thrash out a deal with Konyaspor chiefs.
