Chukwuma Akabueze Fired Up For Norwegian Cup Final
Published: November 18, 2014
Odd Grenland winger Chukwuma Akabueze says his club will not be considered as underdogs when they square off with Premier League champions Molde in the Norwegian Cup on Sunday.
The Skien - based outfit have not lifted the trophy since 2000, while their opponents at the Ullevaal Stadion (Oslo) are the defending champions of the Cup.
“The mood in the team now is high. We are traveling to Denmark today for training for at least four days before the game,” says Bentley to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“We were surprised ending the season in third place but we are focused now on the Cup final.
“I am aware we have not won the Cup for 14 years. A cup game is a cup game, it is a challenge for the players, so we are capable of winning the trophy.”
Chukuma Akabueze has hit target on two occasions in the Cup, in back - to - back games against Notodden and Vålerenga in June.
