Liverpool Knocked Back In Move For Eddy Onazi
Published: December 29, 2014As reported by the Italian media, Lazio have turned down a proposal from Liverpool regarding the exchange of Eddy Onazi for Fabio Borini.
Rome based sports daily Corriere dello Sport has written that the sporting director of the capital outfit, Igli Tare, does not have the intention of parting company with the Nigeria international in the January transfer window.
But reports in England suggest that Liverpool would test Lazio’s resolve to hold on to the central midfielder if they bid €10 million and include Borini as makeweight in the deal to sign the youngster.
Eddy Onazi extended his contract with Lazio until the summer of 2018 few months ago.
He is eligible for a work permit in the United Kingdom, having played up to 75 percent of national team matches over the last two years.
