A product of the famous Barcelona academy, the 32 - year - old has been inactive since the winter of 2012.
His last official game came in the colours of Kapfenberger SV on November 9, 2012 in their loss to Lustenau in the Austrian 1 Liga.
Before his move to Austria, he turned out for Vitesse, Mainz 05 and Kuban among others.
Haruna Babangida is the second Nigerian winger to sign for Mosta in the winter transfer market, following in the footsteps of Uchenna Emenike Mbachu .
