Published: January 29, 2015Viking are hoping to wrap up a deal for Flying Eagles invitee Suleiman Abdullahi before the start of the African Youth Championship in March, having impressed during trials.
The Norwegian Tippeligaen outfit are aware that his stock may rise should the Nigeria Under 20s qualify for the World Cup as expected or even go on to win the championship that will be hosted by Senegal.
“If we sign him , we understand that he did not come here until mid-March , depending on how it goes with Nigeria in the championship.
“There is an issue we are aware and we are working to get things in place as soon as possible,” said Viking director økland to aftenbladet.no.
In the same vein, Kwara United forward Samuel Adegbenro is still in Norway training with Viking, and everything indicates he will be offered a contract as well if his paperwork is completed.
