Wigan Pushing To Close Deal For Chuba Akpom ?
Published: February 02, 2015Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom could leave the Emirates before the close of the January transfer window.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the England youth international could be heading to Wigan on loan until the end of this season.
The 19 - year - old comes off contract with The Gunners in June, meaning he can sign a pre - contract with any team of his choice before his deal runs out.
And there is talk that the likes of Dortmund, Red Bull Salzburg, Feyenoord and FC Twente have offered him preliminary contracts which will become activated in the summer, if he agrees terms.
The Anglo - Nigerian has been at Arsenal since the age of 6.
