Kelechi Iheanacho Injured Again , Replaced After Ten Minutes In UEFA Youth League Game
Published: February 24, 2015After months on the sidelines, Nigeria youth international Kelechi Iheanacho returned to action, as Manchester City defeated Schalke 04 to progress to the quarter - finals of the UEFA Youth League.
The attacker started the game on the bench, but was introduced in the 69th minute, replacing England youth - teamer Brandon Barker .
However, it appears Kelechi Iheanacho suffered a relapse to his knee injury as he was replaced ten minutes later after picking up an injury.
At the end of 90 minutes and with the scoreline reading 1 - 1, the game had to be decided on penalties.
The Citizens were luckier in the shootout , with goalkeeper Gunn saving the fourth spot-kick by the Germans, which sent the English team to the last eight of the competition.
Anglo - Nigerian Tosin Adarabioyo lasted the entire duration in the game held at the Academy Stadium.
