Austin Ejide Demanding Pay - Rise Before Extending Hapoel Beer Sheva Contract
Published: March 03, 2015Super Eagles goalkeeper Austin Ejide is demanding a pay - hike before extending his contract with Hapoel Beer Sheva.
The Camels brass has opened talks with the glovesman on the prolonging of his stay at the club for three more years, with the current agreement between the parties set to expire in just over three months time.
One.co.il says Ejide wants his salary to be upgraded to cushion the effect of his tax liability increasing as from next season.
It is thought that the goalie has an offer from Premier League champions Maccabi Tel Aviv, which has contributed to his decision not to extend his Beer Sheva contract.
The 30 - year - old has played in Israel for the past six years.
