Oak Zeel In Fiery Debate With Friday Nwankwo-Kujah Over Chibuzor Okonkwo; Reveals Agent Was A Truck Pusher In Ghana
Published: March 13, 2015Self - proclaimed supremo of Ifeanyi Ubah FC, Friday Nwankwo-Kujah, has fired a shot at the CEO of Oak Zeel, Chief Valentine Omeje, pointing out the transfer of Nigeria international Chibuzor Okonkwo to the Nnewi - based side is valid.
The Nigeria Federation licensed agent has stressed that Chief Valentine Omeje has failed to liquidate an outstanding debt of =N=1.9 million, being the balance of transfer fee following the acquisition of Chibuzor Okonkwo.
Therefore, the defender can cancel the agreement binding him with Oak Zeel, and walk away as a free agent.
“Is Oak Zeel existing as a club? It is a 419 club. How many players does he have? Do they play in the amateur division or professional league? ” says Friday Nwankwo-Kujah to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Can an individual own a player ? The agreement was supposed to be for =N=8 million , but he pleaded to play =N=5.5 million.
“To the best of my knowledge, he paid only =N=3.6 million, and he wants to use the boy forever.
“Chibuzor Okonkwo canceled the contract with Oak Zeel since December. Where is the player getting salary from? Did he get a club that will pay him.”
Contacted by allnigeriasoccer.com editorial staff, Chief Valentine Omeje was forced to spill the beans, saying Friday Nwankwo-Kujah is a shady character, who thrives off other people’s misery.
“I am a legitimate businessman in Ghana. Friday Nwankwo-Kujah used to load goods on trucks in Ghana. It was a mistake for someone like me to do business with him.
“Has Friday managed any player for more than one year. Okocha made him to be rich, but he still took him to court, and has said all his properties belong to him.
“The Nigeria Federation should not allow such a person come near the corridors of football. What has Friday done for Nigerian football, apart from duping people.”
Chief Omeje continued : “Ifeanyi Ubah should be very careful with Friday Nwankwo-Kujah. He is the one behind all the problems in Nigeria football . He is a deadly disease.
“Friday will destroy Gabros FC., he is a very bad person and I can defend this anywhere. He will create enmity between the executives.
“He claims Ifeanyi Ubah told him to manage Gabros. I don’t think Ifeanyi will do that, he is a very intelligent individual.
“I can not tell Friday how much I paid Chibuzor, I have all the evidence to prove all the money I gave him.
“Oak Zeel FC Ltd has the right to engage in any football service. This is why you see people don’t like investing in football because of unscrupulous agents like Friday. He is supposed to be a truck pusher in Ghana.”
To cut a long story short, it is understood that the Nigeria Football Federation only issued Chibuzor Okonkwo a provisional license for Gabros’ league opener against Warri Wolves, and he is doubtful for the next game in the NPFL.
