Fifa Orders Israeli Federation To Deduct Six Points From MS Ashdod Over Missing Efe Ambrose Transfer Fee
Football’s governing body, Fifa, has ordered the Israeli Federation to deduct six points from MS Ashdod over their alleged refusal to pay the transfer fee of Efe Ambrose.

Close to five years after the transfer of the Nigeria international was done and dusted, Ashdod are yet to remit $150,000 to the domiciliary account of Kaduna United.

The leadership of The Dolphins claimed that the club wanted to liquidate the outstanding liability but Kaduna United chief, Sabo Babayaro, instructed that his personal account should be credited.

While it is unclear whether or not the money was finally paid to Babayaro as claimed by some sources, Kaduna United reported MS Ashdod to Fifa last year after they became impatient with the Israeli team.

In its first ruling last November, Fifa ordered MS Ashdod to honour the debt within 30 days, but they failed to do so within the stipulated time.

Kaduna United had inserted a 20 percent sell - on clause in the deal that took Ambrose to Ashdod, but the Nigerian club were not compensated when he joined Glasgow Celtic.
