Official : Schalke 04 To Bid Farewell To Chinedu Obasi In June
Published: April 11, 2015German Bundesliga campaigners Schalke 04 have decided not to extend the contract of Chinedu Obasi, 28.
General Manager of The Royal Blues, Horst Heldt, has told the club’s official website that they will bid farewell to the Nigeria international on June 30, 2015.
On that date, the agreement between Chinedu Obasi and Schalke 04 which was signed in July 2012 will run out.
“We will not renew the contract with Chinedu Obasi,”said Horst Heldt to the official website, schalke04.de.
No thanks to injuries, the Nigerian has seen has seen his first team opportunities limited this term, having featured only 6 times in the topflight.
Obasi previously starred for Lyn Oslo and Hoffenheim before moving to Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen.
