Penn Orji Making Waves In The Indian League
Published: April 11, 2015
Penn Orji is making waves in the Indian League, where he now plies his trade with Shillong Lajong FC.
The 24 - year - old previously featured for JCT Mills Phagwara, Mohammeddan FC and East Bengal FC in the second most populous nation in the world.
Penn started his sojourn in India at the tender age of 18 years when he joined JCT Mills with no previous league experience in Nigeria.
A talented playmaker, on his day he can shred the opposition defence to pieces with his intelligent movement, link-up play, creativity and passing.
He also chips in with crucial goals too and has accounted for over 30 goals in his stint in India since 2009 the last of which came in the 6-0 away mauling of Mumbai on 3rd April.
His laurels include winning the Indian Federation Cup in 2012, IFA Shield in 2012 and 2014, Indian Super Cup in 2012.
He was also an I-League runner up in 2012 season with East Bengal.
Understandably after having spent so long in India and with the success he has achieved, Penn is keen on taking his skills to Europe so he can be in the limelight.
