Arsenal Expert, Jeorge Bird Predicts Alex Iwobi Will Be Farmed Out On Loan To League One Club Next Season
Published: April 13, 2015Arsenal expert, Jeorge Bird, has predicted that Alex Iwobi will be farmed out on loan to a team in the lower part of the pyramid come next season.
The Nigeria Under 23s invitee netted his first - ever hat - trick at any level last week in the Under 21 Premier League clash against Stoke City.
And Jeorge Bird thinks Iwobi will be shipped out on loan to get more game time under his belt just as The Gunners did to Semi Ajayi ( now on loan at Cardiff City) and his good pal, Chuba Akpom, who is at Nottingham Forest for the time being.
Writing on his blog, arsenalyouth.wordpress.com, he said : “A quick and skilful player, thoughts will now turn towards Iwobi’s future and, ultimately, his chances of making the grade in the long term at Arsenal.
“The latter question isn’t easily answerable, but we should have a much clearer picture of events once Iwobi embarks on his first loan spell, perhaps with a League One side, which will probably take place at some point next season.”
Alex Iwobi is yet to make his first team debut for Arsenal, but has been named in the 18 - man squad for the Champions League and League Cup on two occasions.
