Stoke City Forward Peter Odemwingie Resumes Full Training
Published: April 16, 2015
Peter Odemwingie will resume full training at Stoke City on Thursday after spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a damaged knee ligament.
The Super Eagles star is yet to feature in an official match for The Potters since the 1 - 0 win against Manchester City last August.
“ It has been tough but the medical staff have been brilliant and helped me enormously.
“Hearing the fans sing my song and looking forward to seeing me playing again is brilliant; that feeling that somebody is waiting for you is fantastic.
“It’s been just over six months now but these injuries can be nine months, so I’m really happy that I’m back training,” the 33 - year - old told the club’s official website, stockecityfc.com.
In conclusion, Odemwingie thanked the medical team and supporters for standing by him during his rehabilitation.
He had played only 2 games in the Premier League for Stoke City this term before his injury - enforced absence.
