Ex Flying Eagles Defender Abonima Izuegbu Named To Israeli Premier League Team Of The Week

For the second week in a row, authoritative Israeli football website one.co.il has selected Hapoel Tel Aviv defender Abonima Izuegbu in its ceremonial Team of the Week.

The ex Nigeria Under 20 international debuted for The Reds in their 2 - 0 win over Hapoel Acre on March 21.

Abonima Izuegbu first made the top eleven outstanding players in the Israeli Premier League on the back of his imperious display against Hapoel Petah Tikva  on April 18.

Last weekend, the former Sharks star scored his maiden goal outside the shores of Nigeria, hitting target a minute from time as Hapoel Tel Aviv played out a 2 - 2 draw with Hapoel Ra anana.

He signed a three - year deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv in February.
