Nnamdi Oduamadi Relieved To End Goal Drought
Published: May 10, 2015Latina striker Nnamdi Oduamadi has told allnigeriasoccer.com that he was pleased to end a goal drought stretching back to March 21.
Before Saturday’s game against Bari 1908, the Nigeria international had not found the back of the net since he scored in the 66th minute against Spezia.
“Yes, I was bothered that I had not scored for a long time. I was so happy for the goal, I really worked hard for it,” says Nnamdi Oduamadi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
With only two rounds left in the Serie B, Latina are not one of the promotion candidates but Oduamadi has stressed that it was not a bad season as the team avoided relegation.
“We didn’t make the play- off and it is not bad season for us because we did play very well in all the games, it is just that the goals refused to come.
“And we did all our possible best not to be relegated,” the AC Milan loanee added.
Latina, who sit 12th on the table with 49 points, will be guests to Virtus Entella next weekend before playing Modena in their final game of this season.
