Fifa U20 World Cup : Nigeria Lose To Brazil In Thriller In New Plymouth
African champions Nigeria are still searching for their first win against Brazil at the Fifa Under 20 World Cup after they lost in a thrilling opener at Taranaki Stadium on Monday morning.

In a game dominated by speed and little room for errors, the South Americans took the lead in the fourth minute through Gabriel Jesus .

The Flying Eagles reacted almost immediately, first hitting the post, before Tottenham Hotspur trainee Musa Yahaya set up Isaac Success for Nigeria’s first goal in the competition in the 10th minute.

On 28 minutes, Nigeria got their noses in front for the only time in the game thanks to Musa Yahaya after a breakaway.

If it was difficult to pick the better team in the first half, it was clear the Brazilians dominated proceedings in the second stanza.

Calamitous goalkeeping  by Nigeria number one, Joshua Enaholo, gifted Brazil two more goals.

Literally, Boschilia tried his luck from distance on the hour mark and his shot somehow caught the MFM goalkeeper napping before Judivan made sure of the maximum points with hi second goal of the game eight minutes from time.

In the second round of matches in Group E, Nigeria will face Hungary, who thrashed North Korea 5 - 1 on Monday morning.
