Liverpool Boss Hails Jordon Ibe Wonder Goal
Published: July 25, 2015Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has showered praise on Jordon Ibe on the back of his performance against Malaysian XI in a pre - season fixture on Friday afternoon.
The England youth international scored a spectacular goal in the first half to rescue a 1 - 1 draw for The Reds in their fourth friendly game ahead of the start of the Premier League.
“He’s been outstanding since he’s been out here and he’s staken a real claim to start the season in the team,” Rodgers told LFCtour.com
“[It was a] wonderful goal, I thought he was a threat all night with his pace, his quality and it was wonderful finish cutting inside and a great strike.
“He was very good and like I say he has been working very hard.”
Despite having caps for the youth team of England, Ibe is on the radar of Nigeria’s Olympic Team and the Super Eagles.
