Kelechi Iheanacho Showing He Has A Good Understanding With Raheem Sterling
Published: July 27, 2015Kelechi Iheanacho was given another opportunity to impress manager Manuel Pellegrini in Manchester City’s penultimate pre - season fixture against Vietnam national team on Monday afternoon.
The Citizens thrashed Vietnam 8 -1 thanks to goals from Aleksandar Kolarov, Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Marcos Lopes and Jose Pozo.
The Flying Eagles striker failed to get on the scoresheet but was credited with an assist for Sterling’s second goal on the half - hour mark.
Kelechi Iheanacho was one of the three outfield players that started the game for Man City and remained on the pitch when the final whistle was blown.
The 18 - year - old has featured in four pre - season games, scoring one goal (2 assists).
