Dele Alli Shines Against Real Madrid In First Start For Tottenham Hotspur
Published: August 04, 2015Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli was pleased to be named in the starting XI by manager Mauricio Pochettino for the first time since transferring to the Londoners from MK Dons on Tuesday night.
The highly - rated youngster featured for 69 minutes in Spurs 2 - 0 loss to Real Madrid in the Audi Cup.
He was unfazed by the plethora of stars in the Spanish side and showed his confidence by nutmegging Modric and Kroos.
“Happy to have made my first start for the club today against Real Madrid.Shame it couldn’t come with a win, ” said Dele Alli on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Josh Onomah replaced Harry Kane in the 86th minute at the Allianz-Arena.
